How it works

Our office is added as a limited-access “Admin." We do not replace existing staff or “manage" your social media. What we do is in "addition" to yours, though our activity can easily relieve you of posting anything yourself, or at least minimize your time so you can focus on other facets of your business.

As opposed advertising your business, we create content associated to your industry that sparks interest to create user interaction. You still have full access to things like post specials, sales and new product.

Content is created and posted 2-4 times a week with appropriate key-words and hashtags. Content may be as simple as a photo of your product, some may be educational, and some may be about your industry making your page an informational source. Local news and posts as simple as “Weather this weekend” attracts followers.

Engagement killers are auto-posts created by A.I. that look fake and content perceived as advertisements.

We work in 3-month blocks with no long term commitments.

Most businesses have social media "activity" yet struggle to build a priceless digital following. This is almost always the result of content creators who give posts the perception of an advertisement who get spread too thin trying to cover multiple platforms with a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Algorithms reward consistency and engagement, and the “one-stop-shop” multi-platform approach becomes difficult to maintain which leads to average performance and minimal growth.

We assist with growth, not advertising. In most cases, the “one-size-fits-all” social media "professionals" offer a great sales pitch with zero marketing skills leaving customers in a “template trap” which can keep a page active while limiting growth.

Nautical Mile has seen success firsthand by taking our own coastal magazine Facebook page from 3,000 to over 11,000 followers in less than four months. Not all businesses can get these results, a lawn mower shop is not exciting enough to draw thousands of followers, but posts educating people about your lawn would draw more attention than posts trying to sell lawn mowers.

Our primary focus is Facebook, but if you also have an Instagram account they should already be connected, in which case activity goes on both. These are the only two platforms we work with.

Nautical Mile's Admin Package includes a full page ad in Nautical Mile's monthly digital magazine, readership 22,000+, (not required.) Exclusively serving SW Florida's coastal community since 2004, Nautical Mile boasts over 90% customer retention with coastal information that is not found elsewhere with an easy-to-read online format. Magazine pages are clickable links to your Facebook page or website.

But we already have someone posting for us?

Is your base growing? Do they know algorithms? Do they understand that "marketing" is about connecting with people? Or are they just randomly posting?

What about other platforms?

Continue to post and participate on other platforms, but contribute to them separately based on the theme of that platform.

Is A.I. used?

We may use A.I. to create graphics but we post and maintain pages manually to avoid mistakes and looking “fake.”  We will likely use A.I. more as it stabilizes in the marketplace.

What is my greatest benefit?

Retention and cost. With SEO, results fade when an investment stops. Traditional advertising such as TV or radio delivers momentum only while the campaign is running. In contrast, building a digital following creates an asset that continues to generate value over time. Even if you shift from active growth to maintenance, your audience remains engaged and can continue to expand. Most traditional advertising is an expense as opposed to an investment. When you build a digital audience, your annual cost can be reduced as your audience grow.

In addition to helping you build an online following, Nautical Mile can also run paid ads for your business using Geo-Tracking to your targeted audience. Our office creates a slide-show video using photos of your product, see sample at the bottom of this page. This can be for a one-day sale or an ad that runs till you want it turned off. Cost is a one-time fee of $100 for production plus what you want budgeted for the ad cost.

Magazine page only: $400/month

Admin only: $400/month

Admin package with magazine page: $600/month

Paid video ads: $100 set up plus ad cost.

All clients are on a 3-month billing cycle with no long-term commitments

Outside of posts to build your following, Nautical Mile can help you set up paid ads that run on Facebook and Instagram which use Geo-Tracking for targeted audiences.
