My fishing career started when I was a teenager in the back waters of southern New Jersey. In a few years I expanded my fishing horizons, purchased a larger boat and started making runs to the Delaware Bay in pursuit of target weakfish and black drum. This was followed by years of surf fishing and near shore fishing. My appetite started growing to learn offshore fishing from South Jersey to the Outer Banks  of NC in pursuit of Yellow Fin tuna, Blue Fin tuna, Dolphin, Cobia, Sailfish, Marlin, Shark and Grouper.

In the wish to expand my experience to Florida waters my wife and I started a search for new fishing grounds,  and a place to call home in Florida.  We stopped in Matlacha and found some friends from up north already living here. This was the perfect spot in paradise to live.

I started to learn how to fish Matlacha Pass with a guide Captain Gregg McKee, whom I am now proud to call a friend. Gregg introduced me to the Beavertail Skiffs which in turn introduced me to Will and Elizabeth Leslie, owner of Beavertail Skiffs. They helped me design an 18 foot BTV of my dreams.

My wife, Gregg, and Elizabeth all felt that I should pursue my dream of being a charter captain.  Several months later Walk The Dog Charters was born.

I am grateful to have been able to fish so many waters for so many different fish. and for the hours spent on the water enjoying nature's  bounty. Now, with chartering, I have the opportunity to show other anglers our fantastic fishery and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the area we call home.

See you on the water.
